Winter Break and a Chance to Review

Holiday JordanI just got back from Jordan’s holiday party at her new school and I am so amazed by how she has transitioned into a new school with so much ease. I’m so impressed with her classmates, the teachers and with Jordan. Everyone has made a situation that could have been really hard into something to celebrate.

Jordan teaches me a lot of things as she grows up. She has the traditional tween attitude but she’s extra fierce at times. It helps her in social environments and it helps kids and adults feel so comfortable around her. Parenting that fierceness at times is exhausting. But I’m super proud of her.

We’re headed into winter break with the goals of continuing CrossFit and build up to her goals of playing on the monkey bars. Jordan also hopes to find time on the basketball court before she starts a new season in January. This year she’s playing on a team with her twin besties from her old school. That is going to be epic (or she’ll be really distracted, I’m not sure).

I’m looking forward to a little quiet time at home. I’ve traveled a lot for work since the school year started. I’m excited to have family time and knock out some work without airports and homes away from home. And maybe we’ll find some time to be silly… Like earlier this week when she tried to be a Who from Whoville.
A born just right Who
