The Countdown to the big One-Oh

Every year since we started raising money for Camp No Limits, Jordan won’t tell us what she wants for Christmas or her birthday. There are four days between the two big days… So it is a challenge to make both days a big deal when Jordan won’t even tell us what she wants.

As in years past, she really wants donations. And this year, we are thousands of dollars behind what we normally raise at this point. Every year, we’ve been able to send as many kids to camp as Jordan’s age. So this year, our hope is to send TEN kids to camp. Can you believe that? Jordan turns ten on December 29th. And if you ask her what she wants for Christmas or her birthday, she will only ask for donations. She remains focused on a gift-free birthday from friends and family. (But don’t worry, Santa and I are hooking her up.)

Right now, we have enough donations to send three kids to camp. If you have any money left over from the holidays and would like some credit toward your taxes, donations to Camp No Limits are a tax deduction!

I asked Jordan if she could spend a little time talking to me about what makes camp special and what it’s done for her through the years… Here’s what she had to say.
