BOOST by Born Just Right on NBC Nightly News

We are so thrilled Superhero Boost (now named BOOST by Born Just Right) was featured in an NBC Nightly News piece by Joe Fryer. He featured some of our kids at work during our workshop this year.

Ryder

Ryder shows off his snake concept to NBC’s Joe Fryer.

Ryder was the youngest participant in the 2018 BOOST. He loves snakes and he wanted to work toward a prosthetic arm that shoots snakes! Why? He told Fryer that he thinks snakes are cute!

Kenzie

Kenzie talks about her BOOST goals to Fryer.

Kenzie wanted to build something beautiful during the workshop. She’s a natural designer and participated in our 2017 workshop in Boston. This year, she decided to work on a prosthetic arm that held a voice-activated glowing gem.

The NBC Story

We’re so thrilled you get another glimpse into the Superhero Boost experience and a little bit of the ongoing story of Jordan’s Project Unicorn design that got started during a similar workshop back in early 2016.

We keep saying this… But this BOOST workshop couldn’t have happened without the support of KIDmob, Autodesk and Google along with your donations. You helped make sure all of the attendees from out-of-state could get to and from San Francisco. Thank you a million times for your support! You’re helping these kids have fun and see a future that could include design at the same time.
