Partnering with Type-A Conference

Type-A Parent 7th Annual Conference (Atlanta, October 8-10, 2015)I’m all about announcements this week! Born Just Right is excited to be an official blog partner with the Type-A Conferences (that’s an affiliate link). Why, you ask? It’s one of my favorite blogging communities. The founder, Kelby Carr, and I have known each other for many years thanks to Twitter. We met online back in 2007 when it seemed like very few people used the tool.

I had a chance to see some wonderful Mizzou journalism school alumni at Type-A 2014.

Through the years (in person and online), I’ve watched Kelby grow her blogging community with love and support for writers, marketers and the fascinating relationship between those two worlds.

After watching it all, I finally had a chance to attend two Type-A events in 2014. Cameron and I helped present to a kids camp about mobile video and photography during the Type-A Walt Disney World Bootcamp and I moderated a panel on blogging ethics during the main conference in Atlanta. My time at both events were wonderful. New and veteran bloggers had a chance to get to know each other and the event sponsors. Kelby has found a way to help everyone build better relationships.

There were some really dynamic conversations during smaller sessions during the Type-A conference.

I really enjoyed learning from very smart speakers on writing, community building and even the technical stuff like search engine optimization and ways to build business plans.

This year, I am missing all of the Type-A awesomeness. Work travel and family plans will keep me from attending both big events: Type-A NYC (August 1st) and the main conference in Atlanta (October 8-10). I decided I wanted to partner Born Just Right with the events because I believe in what Kelby is doing and since I can’t be there, maybe I can help contribute by encouraging other awesome new and veteran bloggers to attend. Interested in attending? This week only, use the code PARTNERSPECIAL to save 20 percent on either conference.

Let me know if you have any questions about the events. I know you’ll have a great experience.
