Flashback Friday: New Arm and Push-Ups

It’s hard to believe it’s been almost a year since Jordan had her most recent helper arm. She’s used it more than any of her preview arms… She loves the flexibility of a lockable elbow. She’s enjoying her pushup hand as well. So… in honor of Flashback Friday, here’s a look back to when she tried pushups for the first time:

So, how does her elbow move? What controls it? I ask b/c I haven’t found a lot of child amputees who are above-elbow & wear a “helper arm” (as Rosie calls it). Rosie’s had her arm for a couple months now & we’re trying to help her find ways it’s useful to you. I wish I could visit with you!

Hi Jessica! Jordan has a locking elbow. When it’s unlocked, it’s loose enough to do cool things like push ups!
