Celebrating an amazing year thanks to you

Jordan had the most magical birthday ever. Thanks to you, her birthday fundraiser will help make sure SEVEN kids have full funding to attend Camp No Limits in 2013. How much did you help raise this year?

Drumroll please….

$3,690! It’s incredible. That’s more than $1300 more than last year! Since the camp started using Firstgiving as a fundraising site, they’ve asked each person who attends to raise $500. Your donations will make sure SEVEN people can go to camp. Just in time for Jordan to turn SEVEN years old. We are touched and honored you would pitch in with so much. A MAJOR shout out goes to the Lucky Fin Project for donating a total of $600 to our 2012 fundraising and Veteran’s United Foundation for its $1,000 donation during Jordan’s Finding Nemo party. (If you’re itching to donate to the tax deductible organization before the end of the year, the donation site is still up and running!)

Jordan’s birthday was epic. It started with an early morning phone call from Goofy waking Jordan by singing happy birthday. We got to enjoy an early magic hour in the Magic Kingdom at 7am so Jordan and I went to the new Fantasyland to visit the Ariel ride and meet Belle. And let me tell you, Jordan didn’t just get to meet Belle, she got picked to be the Beast and dance with Belle during a small performance of Beauty and the Beast.

And that was just the beginning of the day! After her park fun, she got to put on a beautiful dress and get her hair done at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. This wasn’t her first boutique visit but it was clearly the most fun she’s ever had. Jordan’s Fairy Godmother-in-training was so much fun and they had some great conversations. After her look was completed, Jordan had a chance to meet some of her favorite princesses, eat a yummy breakfast and a birthday cake inside Cinderella’s Castle with our family including her Grandma and Grandpa. It was so much fun and delicious.
The day continued with a super fun surprise scavenger hunt for the kids and my parents to join in on. We had a chance to ride some rides… including not just one, but back to back rides on Magic Mountain thanks to a kind cast member who took a liking to the birthday princess. Every time we ride Space Mountain, we try to make silly faces for the camera.
We had a ton of fun. Along with spending time with my parents, we also met up with friends of ours who have four kids. The crew of kids had so much fun playing together and riding Thunder Mountain four or five times. It’s kind of funny how easy it is for kids to get along in such a fun place.

I can’t tell you how lucky I feel to have tolerant parents who were willing to visit the amusement parks with us. I know both kids loved having them join in and there’s something extra cool when you can share a super fun day with as many family members as you possibly can.

With 2013 fast approaching, we are looking forward to continuing to watch Born Just Right grow. This community means the world to us. Thank you for your patience as I transition into my new job and find ways to also keep this site and community running. 2012 was a year of huge highs and lows for us. We’re looking forward to seeing what adventures are ahead for us in 2013. I do know we can’t wait for another trip to Camp No Limits and we’re planning to build a new helper arm in July.

We wish you a happy and health new year. Thanks again for being an important part of our lives!
