Jordan Makes Front Page News

jordan and kcstar articleI had mentioned how we continue to work with journalists to tell the story about our American Girl petition. Today, we were able to purchase a copy (or five) of The Kansas City Star. Jordan is on the front page with a picture of her running during a Girls on the Run practice earlier this week. Jordan has read through the online and the paper version of the article multiple times today.

Jordan is such an active, happy kid. It’s so cool to be see her share her story with journalists. While she shares her story, it gives so many other kids a chance to see how a limb difference is just a different way to grow up. But it’s really not that different. She’s going to be able to do anything she puts her mind to as a kid and as an adult.

Check out the cool video Kansas City Star photographer, Joe Ledford, put together after spending a day with Jordan.

I am super proud of Jordan for taking a stand, being able to tell the world about it and showing kids how typical her world can be with one hand. Please help keep our petition alive. If you haven’t signed it, please consider going to the Change.org site and add your name. If you have signed it, share it! You never know who might see it for the first time and sign it.

Did you see this story? Love how the one-handed thing is merely mentioned in passing and how he says that he asks the two handed ” how do you operate both of those? ” http://www.cnn.com/videos/us/2016/02/15/newborn-roadside-delivery-pkg.kbjr/video/playlists/oh-baby/
