VIDEO: Creativity on her own

I am super happy to have Jordan back after spending a week with her Poppy. I’ve missed her a ton. Coolest part was having her run into the house this afternoon yelling for me. She gave me the most awesome hugs and snuggles. I feel like a very lucky Mom to be so loved.

Along with the excitement of Jordan’s return, she showed off some outfits she convinced her Grandpa (who we call Poppy) to buy. AND she came up with a way to turn a lemonade bottle into a drum. Her Poppy tells me this creation was totally her idea, he just helped her make it happen. He also happened to have an old pool cue and sawed it off to make a very nice drum stick. Jordan is super proud of her creation!

So here she is explaining how her drum was created:

Awesome! I’ve always thought that having a limb difference exercises and strengthens a person’s sense of creativity. Since we have to constantly adapt to a world created for two-handers and figure out how to do things a little differently, we use creativity day in and day out 🙂

I think you’re totally right about that! I wish I was craftier so Jordan can have more opportunities to come up with cool stuff. I’m sure as she gets older she’ll push me deeper into the crafty creative world.
