School spirit in the heat

When we snag football tickets, we got to the games… I’ve rarely skipped attending with the kids even if the weather is rough. I have a Twitter follower who still gives me heck for taking the kids to a big Nebraska/Missouri game in 2009 where the weather was terrible. But I guess that’s the kind of fans we are.

This weekend’s game was hotter than hot. It was so hot, Jordan crawled under my feet when we were in the stands so she could hide from the sun. But she also had fun enjoying tailgate fun before and after the game. We also had fun during the second half of the game sitting on the big hill where kids have more room to roam. If you ask both kids, the best part was getting the “freshly squeezed” lemonade during the game. My favorite part was enjoying a shrimp boil after the game. That doesn’t happen at every tailgate!
