Mission Accomplished

I did it! I ran my first race and the kids even joined me in the fun. I’m pretty excited and proud that I was able to go from a non-runner at the start of a year to a person who could run a 5K in less than 11 minutes a mile (I finished the race in 32:30).  I was lucky Randy brought the kids to watch – even though it was cold morning. I’m still riding a bit of a pride high from pulling it off. I promise to chill out on the rants about runs and races now that I’ve done my first. I’m pretty sure it won’t be my last.

Congratulations on finishing your first race. I took up biking last year as a way to get in shape, because it was a little lower impact than running. I remember how pumped I was the first time I rode more than 10 miles at one time. Keep up the good work.

YAY!!! My sister ran a full marathon almost a year ago.
It really stoked her and she said she wants to do another one someday.

Running just isn’t my thing…i wish it was…..

Accomplishing something like that is certainly something to be proud of!!

Thanks!! I don’t think I’ll ever be able to run a full marathon – but it’s so great to feel healthy for the first time in a while.
