Holiday spirit in full force

After a great Thanksgiving weekend, the kids got to end it with tree decorating. They both took the job very seriously. We don’t have a theme-tree beyond “memories.” The tree is full of ornaments from our many adventures and the kids’ art work. There are also old and new pictures that made Jordan squeal to see old pictures of herself. I think it’s fun to see how finger and hand prints are so much bigger than years ago. I also loved watching the kids trade ornaments to make sure they put up the ones they felt was appropriate.

Either way, the kids filled the bottom limbs with all kinds of happy decorations… Some were moved to other portions of the tree to help balance things out. The house is instantly holiday-cozy. To add to the fun, I had the kids do a couple of The Grinch Who Stole Christmas decorations to add to their rooms. Jordan’s ornament banner is hanging on her shower-curtain closet and Cameron’s “Merry Grinchmas” banner is hanging on his bunk bed.

They’re selling the crafts at Michaels stores. There are some really fun projects there!
